To Update the VCI – J2534 ECU Programming Device:
First  download the MaxiSYS PC Suite software from this site and install to your PC then connect the USB cable to PC and to VCI J2534, then plug the power AC/DC Power Supply to the J2534 the one you use to recharge the Maxisys. Open the MaxiflashCfg program and hit update and let the VCI to update.  Here is a different way  thru the Maxisys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQjHNSdDPhw this is for the regular Bluetooth VCI not for the VCI – J2534 ECU. I don't know if that works for the J2534 ECU.
